The day will begin with SIMWARS – an interactive simulation competition that allows teams of four medical providers to compete against other programs on simulated patient encounters. The format is “round-robin” for the first round. Each team will get to perform in 5 different cases – all teams will be judged for all 5 rotations with the top two teams moving to the finals. An expert panel will judge each team’s performance in areas such as teamwork, communication, and leadership as well as medical management of the “patient”. If interested please email Allie Perttunen at alliep@mcep.org to register your team. Entries are due by April 30, 2025. Once the teams selected, we will send out the “Rules of Engagement” prior to the event so you can be prepared for what to expect. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Registration ONLY FOR SPECTATORS. Please note that our system does not work well with Safari – please use Google Chrome or Firefox. You can register online or you may also use the Registration Form within the brochure which can be faxed to the Chapter Office at (517) 327-7530 or mailed to MCEP at 6647 West St. Joseph Hwy., Lansing, MI 48917. For further assistance, or to register over the phone you can contact the Chapter Office at (517) 327-5700.
If you are signing up for a team, have one person reach out to Allie Perttunen at alliep@mcep.org to complete group registration with all team member names. Please note – all programs sending a team MUST send a judge as well.
Registration Fee:
Resident – SIMWARS Team Member – $35; Resident/Medical Student/Spouse – Observer – $35; MCEP Member – $55; Non-Member – $60
*All refunds must be requested in writing. If your written cancellation is received two weeks prior to the course date, you will receive a refund. No refunds on cancellations less than two weeks prior to the course.
**Regpack Purchase Protection is offered through the Regpack Registration System not MCEP. If you purchase their purchase protection refunds will be issued through Regpack not MCEP.
