Mission
The Michigan College of Emergency Physicians Exists for the Purpose of:
- Advancing quality Emergency Medical Care
- Supporting the interests of Emergency Physicians
- Promoting the values of Emergency Physicians.
Chapter Membership
There is too much at stake in today’s ever-changing health care environment to not be involved at the national, state, and local level. Your dual membership in ACEP and the Michigan Chapter provides unified representation for the specialty of emergency medicine. MCEP exercises significant influence at the Capital and has a substantial impact on state laws and regulations critical to your practice environment. Michigan constantly sends the largest delegation of any state to meet with legislators in Washington D.C. as a part of ACEP’s leadership and advocacy yearly conference.
How to Join
MCEP members include emergency physicians, emergency medicine residents, and medical students in the state with an active interest in emergency medicine. New memberships are handled by our National Organization, the American College of the Emergency Physicians.
Membership for National and Michigan’s Chapter ACEP are applied for jointly. For more information or to receive a membership application please call ACEP at 1-800-798-1822 x5. To access a membership application online click here.
