EMRAM Resident Liaison Program
The Emergency Medicine Residency Association of Michigan (EMRAM) is looking for each residency to appoint an EMRAM Residency liaison to our executive board. Below you will find a description of the role from our bylaws.
“The residency representatives to EMRAM shall be the EMRA Representative Council members from each of the Michigan residency programs. In the event that a program has no representative, the president of EMRAM will attempt to have the Residency Director of that program or its Chief Resident appoint such a person. These representatives shall have a vote on the Executive Committee and their term of office shall be equal to the term on the EMRA Representative Council. Residency representatives are encouraged to attend all EMRAM Executive Committee meetings and are responsible for the coordination and promotion of EMRAM activities and membership at their residency programs.”
We are encouraging this elected position from each program to increase interaction and presence from all Michigan residencies. This has minimal time commitment to the representative but has maximum benefit to MCEP/EMRAM by amplifying your voice. There are approximately 5 meetings each academic year, so the time commitment is manageable.
We recommend that each program hold a vote among residents to appoint a liaison. Please send the name and email address of your appointed resident to alliep@mcep.org
Thank you for keeping your residency engaged with EMRAM!
