This course presents valuable information and updates for emergency physicians, billing and coding professionals, and group managers. Two tracks are offered: Advanced Professional Coding Track and Physician/Administrative. Lunch offers unstructured time to interact with peers and to share information about the dynamic reimbursement environment.
ADVANCED CODING TRACK
Participants will have the opportunity to review the appropriate use of CPT and ICD-10 codes for professional services provided in the ED.
ADMINISTRATION/PHYSICIAN TRACK
Participants will review documentation requirements for various EM services; learn about how upcoming Healthcare Reform will impact your practice; review opportunities for groups to better understand & interact with carriers; and be given tools to better assess their group’s billing and collection performance.
